A note to A.M. Parents!

The concert note said 3:00, but it should say 11:00. If you would like to take your child home after the concert please fill out the paper and send it in. Your child can still take the bus home if you are unable to attend or they would like to take the bus home! Hope to see you Friday!

Full Day Week

We made it through our full day week! We had soo much fun spending the whole day learning together. The kids made some new friends and got to see old friends from preschool. I think everyone's favorite part was lunch and recess! :) Thank you to Miss C. for helping us out!

This is my favorite photo from the week!

Eric Carle Author Study

This week we did a small author study on Eric Carle. We read many of his books and noticed the things he did as an author and illustrator. We noticed that he used very bright paintings in his pictures, wrote many books with animals as the characters, he used interesting words and punctuation like ellipses. We even got to make our own animal with painted paper just like Eric Carle does!

Full Day Kindergarten Week
4/13-4/17

After spring break we will be having our snow day make up days. Both the A.M. and P.M. classes will be all together that week. This will be a great experience for the classes to get a taste of what 1st grade will be like. Please look for the packet of information to go home on the Tuesday we return.

I want to wish everyone a
 safe & happy Spring Break!
See you in a week!

Math

Earlier this week we did a little work with Geometry. We explored and made different shapes with Geo-boards. They were a big hit! Later in the week we did a little work with tens and ones. We used digit cards to build numbers. Some of the questions we ask the kids to do is: "Build a number that has 3 tens and 4 ones" (34). We follow that up with "What is 30 + 4 make" (34). We have also been continuing to practice addition/subtraction story problems and math fact fluency.
